I have never had a bad experience with VEI until I switched from the Forest location to the Short Pump location. Since switching, I have had the worst experience and nothing but issues every time I have to deal with them. They are impossible to get ahold of, you cannot get a person on the phone when you call and they dont return voicemails. They are very unorganized. The process of trying to order an annual supply of contacts with them has so far taken 5 weeks, and I still have no contacts. They did not keep on record what contacts I trialed during my annual. I like Dr. Patel but the Short Pump location is managed horribly and is a complete mess when it comes to the front desk and optical center. If I could give 0 stars I would. Once I finally get the contacts Ive ordered, I will be switching to a new eye doctor/office. Im disappointed and frustrated, but looking forward to finding a more organized eye doctor office.
My appointment was at 7:51am...but the person who is taking the temperature didn't come out until 7:51am and she did not have a mask on....she had to go back in the office to get a mask.... I was not called to the back until 8:10am Why did I have a 7:50 appointment if I'm not going to be seen after 8am... But once I got in the back the appointment was great.

Twice other staff barged into room during eye exam laughing and talking to get equipment for another room. On the 2nd time I asked if they normally do that. Staff explained that she had to put equipment back. It was very disruptive.
